Parents

We are committed to working closely with our parents to ensure that all our students receive an exceptional learning experience. Termly newsletters, our social media feeds and email correspondence is used to keep parents up to date with the latest news and important information about the school. Termly progress tracking reports, MCAS, Orange Sticker Feedback, emails home and Parent Consultation Evenings ensure that our parents are well informed about their child’s progress.

Our annual Aspire and Achieve Evenings take place in the Autumn Term; here we share key pastoral and curriculum information with our parents and explain how parents can support their child's education. We also invite parents of Year 11 students to our GCSE Revision Launch which takes place early in the Spring Term; this enables parents to support their child through this crucial year of their education.

We truly value parent feedback and provide a range of opportunities for parents to do so. We hold termly Parent Forums where we share our vision and plans for the school and take feedback from our parents as part of our decision-making process. We also encourage that parents contact us via phone or email at any point in the year, if they have any comments or concerns. Contact details for all members of the Team can be found here.

Thank you to all parents for your continued support, we couldn't do it without you!

Some of our recent feedback:

"My husband and I were extremely impressed by the setup of the online parents’ evening tonight. The teachers are all lovely and I almost wished I could have been back at school and taking part in your lessons!"

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything that all the staff are doing for our boys, but also for all the pupils at Ryedale. All the teachers are really doing an amazing job in almost impossible circumstances."

Parent of a Year 9 and Y11 student

"Thank you for the clarity you have provided us in your updates against a confusing and frequently changing position. I do not normally write mails but having [...] seen the level of commitment of the teachers at Ryedale in respect to the calibre of the lessons then I felt compelled to acknowledge this.
In addition, the level of care in terms of support being offered through tutors calling to a general understanding that anyone with issues can contact yourself or the wider team is very much appreciated."
